Star Detective Rundown: is Anna going to be another Hagumi?

 

Welcome back to Star Detective Rundown… now this may be a bit confusing.. also spoilers for the end of Hugtto PreCure

As we know, Anna’s going back in time to 1999(but no Bizarre Summer)[1999 media joke count: 1], so realistically she may meet her parents… but some believe that the first person she will meet is one of them(this is where spoilers for Hugtto come in)

In the epilogue of Hugtto during the final episode(Embrace Your Shining Future), it is revealed that Hagu-tan(the main mascot, and a deaged Cure from the future) is the daughter of series protagonist Hana Nono, with some of Hagu-tan(or Hagumi)’s first moments in the world(on her own personal timeline, not the general timeline… things get a bit wibbly wobbly timey whimey when it comes to time travel)[Doctor Who reference count: 1]… now one of the most common theories is that Mikuru/Cure Mystique



Is going to turn out to be the mother of protagonist Anna Akechi/Cure Answer



Which when you consider the literary origins of both last names is inherently funny to me, especially if the series will mention that like the books by Edogawa Ranpo, it’s an Akechi[Kogoro in the books, Anna here], and a Kobayashi[Yoshio in the books, Mikuru here] together, albeit Yoshio didn’t appear until 1930, 5 years after Kogoro’s first appearance in 1925(yes, last year saw one of the greatest literary detectives in Japan celebrate 100 years since his first appearance), but I digress

Do I think Toei will do this? I honestly don’t know… that’s the thing about predictions…. You never truly know… anyhow, until next time, this is Cure Ranger, signing off

  Welcome back to Kimi to Idoru rundown… it’s showtime! Star Detective Rundown: silhouettes/names

  Hello and welcome back to Star Detective Rundown. This actually goes into 2 different things, one I forgot to mention when it happened But first… The above is from a online store which has gotten in contact with a supplier ahead of the toys release and have given listings for the next season… mentioning the Cures, Cure Answer, Cure Mystic and Cure Arcana Shadow? Weird… anyhow, more recently… The above is the silhouettes of the Cures, which seem to match the cards from the gummy leak.. we don’t know which Cure is which(we think Arcana Shadow is the black Cure), but if Answer is the pink or Purple is yet to be revealed. We believe she’s the purple, but we can’t be sure. Anyhow, until next time, this is Cure Ranger, signing off.

Star Detective Rundown: theorycrafting #1

  Hello and welcome to what’s technically the first Star Detective Rundown post… First off the name, Star Detective…now this may be seen as kinda crazy… but what if there’s going to be an official link with another Toei show of 2026… Chou Uchuu Keiji Gavan Infinity. Both shows have names that are relatively linked to each other. As for other theories, I believe that we may see a student council president lead Cure for the first time in 12 years and that there’ll be a initial 4 Cure with a mid-season, perhaps a villain-turned-Cure. I also imagine that there could be links to the same group that Cure Milky was part of, anyhow… until next time this is Cure Ranger, signing off.
