Star Detective Rundown:Who Is Cure Eclair?

Welcome back to Star Detective Rundown. One of the largest mysteries this year revolves around a single cure


"Unveiling the Scent of truth hidden within! Star Detective! Cure Eclair!" Now.. we know next to nothing about her, where there’s like 4.. maybe 5 different candidates for her identity 

CANDIDATE 1(and these will be in order of introduction into the show)


NAME: Eriza Kurusu 

OCCUPATION: Amateur Mystery Novelist 

THOUGHTS OF THE FANDOM: honestly I’ve not seen much people in the fandom say this, some did point out a vague link to a work based on Sherlock Holmes(considering that he was a basis for Kogoro, who Anna shares her last name with), adding in with Luluka’s last name Moria also borrowing from Conan Doyle’s work..

MY OWN THOUGHTS: early on I honestly thought Eriza might be Cure Eclair, but now… I’m not so sure

CANDIDATE 2


NAME: Kurea Howa

OCCUPATION: Patissier

THOUGHTS OF THE FANDOM: This is the one who the fandom is most set on being Cure Eclair, her job may be in line with a kinda awkward pun, but Toei has shown that they can do this. Japanese fans have also noted the voice actor similarity 

MY THOUGHTS: Honestly I don’t think this. While yes, Toei would be likely to do the whole Eclair pun thing, it feels a bit too much like it’s a hey look(not as much as a later candidate)

CANDIDATE 3


NAME: Rei Kaneda

OCCUPATION: Student and Student Council President 

THOUGHTS OF THE FANDOM: Like Eriza, I’ve not seen A LOT on her, but there’s definitely enough theories that I’m probably not seeing

MY THOUGHTS: Personally unless there’s something Toei is doing, in my opinion. THIS IS CURE ECLAIR!

CANDIDATE 4


NAME: Shiruku Ieiri

OCCUPATION: Actress 

THOUGHTS OF THE FANDOM: The fandom are believing that Toei is shoving Shiruku down our throats, especially with her debut episode, but the currently prevailing theory is that Shiruku is the human form of Eclair’s Fairy partner; Shushutan


MY THOUGHTS: honestly I agree with this theory that Shiruku is Shushutan’s human form, her job as an actress isn’t even that outlandish in this franchise where Ciel and Dabyi exist…

CANDIDATE 5

None of the above

Honestly some fans believe that all 4 of the above are red herrings. VERY EARLY ON a common theory was that Nijie would be Cure Eclair, but with the hacking of the transformation device this theory is effectively dead in the water. But either way a common theory is that Toei is doing an Aguri thing again and that we are yet to meet Cure Eclair’s civilian identity. Anyhow until next time this is Cure Ranger, signing off.

  Welcome back to Kimi to Idoru rundown… it’s showtime! Star Detective Rundown: silhouettes/names

  Hello and welcome back to Star Detective Rundown. This actually goes into 2 different things, one I forgot to mention when it happened But first… The above is from a online store which has gotten in contact with a supplier ahead of the toys release and have given listings for the next season… mentioning the Cures, Cure Answer, Cure Mystic and Cure Arcana Shadow? Weird… anyhow, more recently… The above is the silhouettes of the Cures, which seem to match the cards from the gummy leak.. we don’t know which Cure is which(we think Arcana Shadow is the black Cure), but if Answer is the pink or Purple is yet to be revealed. Star Detective Rundown: theorycrafting #1

  Hello and welcome to what’s technically the first Star Detective Rundown post… First off the name, Star Detective…now this may be seen as kinda crazy… but what if there’s going to be an official link with another Toei show of 2026… Chou Uchuu Keiji Gavan Infinity. Both shows have names that are relatively linked to each other. As for other theories, I believe that we may see a student council president lead Cure for the first time in 12 years and that there’ll be a initial 4 Cure with a mid-season, perhaps a villain-turned-Cure. I also imagine that there could be links to the same group that Cure Milky was part of, anyhow… until next time this is Cure Ranger, signing off.
